Rainy Night Quotes

The sound of rain.

It’s so soothing to me, the way it beats against my window and lulls me into a deep sleep.

We don’t know how many nights we’ve fallen asleep to the sound of rain on my window, but it feels like just about every night since we’re a kid. And it feels like I’ll keep doing it for as long as you live. We all love falling asleep to the sound of rain hitting the window next to my bed. It’s a great way to start the day, and we like to think of it as a reminder that there are still good things in the world.

It’s not just because it makes me feel like you’re in a movie, or that it makes me feel like you’re in a book, or even because it’s so soothing and relaxing—although that is certainly part of it. No, it’s also because when you fall asleep to the sound of rain hitting the window, you are reminded of how much you love the way our world works.

The way we can go out into nature and find what we need right where we live. The way we can create shelter out of thin air if we need to. The way we can help each other make our lives better even when they seem pretty hopeless at times.

There are so many things about our world that remind me of how amazing it is, and how thankful I am for being able to live here.
