From TMI accounts about their personal lives to the infamous slap at this year’s Oscars, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have long been in the news. The openness of the couple’s relationship is one intriguing tale. In an episode of her programme Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith talked about it and her subsequent romance with singer August Alsina. Alsina appears to make reference to the romance in his new song, “Shake the World,” which he appears to have referred to as an “entanglement” by the actor.
The “entanglement” starring Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina
In July 2020, Alsina came clean about having an affair with Pinkett Smith. According to him, Jaden, Pinkett Smith’s son, introduced the two. The singer stated, “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times,” in an interview with The Breakfast Club host Angela Yee that was later posted to Alsina’s YouTube channel.
According to Page Six, Pinkett Smith’s representative at the time called the allegations “absolutely not true.” But later that month, the actor confirmed the romance. “Yes, there was a relationship, without a doubt. She revealed on a Red Table Talk episode, “I was in a lot of pain and I was really broken. I definitely came to the realisation that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself during the course of that relationship, she said. She was living apart from Will Smith at the time. Although Pinkett Smith claimed Alsina “would perceive it as permission because [she and Smith] were separated amicably,” the couple denied that Smith ever gave Alsina “permission” to start a relationship.
Shake the World, a new song by August Alsina suggests a relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith.
The musician recently released a song called “Shake the World,” which appears to make reference to his alleged relationship with Pinkett Smith. Apparently describing his relationship with the Matrix actor, Alsina posted the lyrics to his YouTube channel on April 8.
The lyrics “Well, of course, some s**t is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favourite” and “I heard I was cancelled/Well, let’s not speak on that” are just a couple of examples. I was a target because of the red dot on my back. And I’m imperfect but perfect, which is what makes me August. The album was just recently released, less than two weeks after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage over a joke he had made about Pinkett Smith. According to some observers, Alsina’s song is an attempt by the musician to profit from his previous association with the actor.
Additionally, his song “Entanglements” alludes to their romance.
The word “entanglement,” along with the information about Pinkett Smith’s relationship with Alsina, quickly gained popularity. Shortly after disclosing their relationship, in September 2020, the singer even made use of the fame by releasing the single “Entanglements.”
The artist sings in the song, “The definition of ‘entanglement’ is when you tangle in the sheets.” Even though we don’t refer to our relationship as such, you’re still f**king with me, girl. When the subject came up during a red carpet interview in February, Pinkett Smith and her husband even laughed. However, Alsina has obviously not forgotten about his relationship with the well-known couple.
